What’s the WTF?

NOW THE WE HAVE YOUR ATTENTION: WTF Retail isn’t just a passive web therapy session for small retailers. It is the starting space for a true local retail SHOPPING REVOLUTION!

We’re all frustrated that no one fights for us, so we’re fighting for ourselves. And for the customers who keep us going forward!

JOIN OUR 1+1=Change Campaign

Which is why we came up with this idea. Here is what it’s all about:

Ask you customers to shop once for themselves, and then return again this season with a friend and shop twice for us all.

After that, start a pyramid chain and get 20 other small retailers and 40 more customers involved!

We all know that people don’t shop with us because they want the cheapest things they can find. They shop with us because they love what we do, often how well we reflect our community setting.

And their preference has value. Our collective sales contribute to over $1 trillion in annual revenues, much earned by women and merchants of color who are fighting to get their business feet on the ground! Plus, this money stays right here in our communities! (See 3/50)

STORES HELPING STORES

Doubling this impact could have a powerful influence on how well we can stay around and help each other. We need customers and they need us – all of us working together.

Government can’t help; big businesses and banks won’t help. So the best resources we have are our customers working directly to keep us strong!

1+1=CHANGE

  1. Great idea. Stores know what stores need. No one listens and hardly anyone hears our ideas. If we do this right, then maybe we can become part of a movement to do more to get customers and to be heard by others in business. You guys rock! THIS IS WHAT WE WANT TO SEE!

  2. If you are not familiar with it, check out The New Rules Project. Here is an example of part of a statement they post, talking about the future and potential of the sector and communities us smallest of small businesses support: The quote was provided by Stacy Mitchell: “While signs abound that people are rediscovering the benefits of an economy rooted in community and small-scale enterprise, all of this activity, though widespread, is still quite modest. It exists largely on the margins and is unlikely to coalesce into a wholesale reorganization of our economy unless we change the rules.” From our perspective it’s time to say WTF … and then to do something different to make change happen!

  3. The world wants to find out how to make businesses that are profitable in making money and making social impact. How come no one with mega dollars invests in our small businesses? They can and should. What can our stores do to get their attention?

  4. Ready for WeTheTweeple? Soon the White House will announce a project called We The People. Get 5000 signatures on a petition in 30 days and your issues goes to the president. We WANT, we DESERVE, we DEMAND that America’s small retail businesses get heard. Sign up here now and we’ll let you know when to sign! It’s easy and it will be effective! COMING SOON!

Sharing is good! Solutions are great!
